A prolific writer, Dave Sterrett is the author or co-author of seven books, including the Christian best-seller I Am Second (Thomas Nelson), Why Trust Jesus? (Moody Publishers) and Aborting Aristotle (St. Augustine’s Press). He has contributed articles for the Washington Post, Billy Graham’s Decision Magazine, and the Gospel Coalition. He has been cited in CNN, USAToday and the Christian Post and has been a guest on TBN, 100 Huntley, and CBN News.
As a religious historian and bioethicist, his speaking circuit has landed him at some of the nation’s premiere universities including Yale University, the University of Virginia, Duke University, Bridgewater College, Benedictine College, Louisiana State University, University of North Texas, and the University of Texas at Dallas.
Having co-authored four books with apologist Josh McDowell, Dave served McDowell’s organization to equip governmental, educational, and church leaders in Poland, Russia, and various places in the United States. Dave has spoken to both protestant and Catholic parishes across American including McLean Bible Church (Washington D.C.), Watermark Community Church (Dallas, Texas) and the Church of the Sacred Heart (Robbinsdale, Minnesota).
As a former basketball player at Oak Hill Academy and Liberty University, Dave Sterrett continues to motivate athletes and coaches to live intentionally and put Christ first. Internationally Dave alongside of his father, Clay Sterrett have mentored hundreds of pastors and youth leaders in Uganda, Africa and other countries. After graduating with a degree in Biblical studies at Liberty University, Dave earned a M.A. in Apologetics from Southern Evangelical Seminary and then another M.A. in Philosophy from the University of Dallas.
Sterrett is focused on abolishing abortion in America. With a message of grace, truth and forgiveness, he is activating churches and university campus groups to rescue babies from abortion, minister to post-abortive congregants and train students to stand for life. He serves on the national board of 40 Days for Life.
