Dave Sterrett is the author or co-author of seven books, including the Christian best-seller I Am Second (Thomas Nelson), Why Trust Jesus? (Moody Publishers) and Aborting Aristotle (St. Augustine’s Press). He has contributed articles for the Washington Post, Billy Graham’s Decision Magazine, and the Gospel Coalition. He has been cited on CNN, USA Today and the Christian Post.
His speaking circuit has landed him at many of the nation’s colleges and universities including Yale University, the University of Virginia, Duke University, Wheaton College, the University of New Hampshire, Bridgewater College, Southern Evangelical Seminary, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Benedictine College, Louisiana State University, University of North Texas, Liberty University and the University of Texas at Dallas.
Having co-authored four books with apologist Josh McDowell, Dave served McDowell’s organization to equip government, education, and church leaders in Poland, Russia, and various places in the United States. Dave has spoken to both protestant and Catholic churches across American, including McLean Bible Church (Washington D.C.), Watermark Community Church (Dallas, Texas) and the Church of the Sacred Heart (Robbinsdale, Minnesota).
As a former basketball player at Oak Hill Academy and Liberty University, Dave Sterrett continues to motivate athletes and coaches to live intentionally and put Christ first. Internationally Dave, alongside his father, Clay Sterrett, have mentored hundreds of pastors and youth leaders in Uganda, Africa and other countries. After graduating with a degree in Biblical studies at Liberty University, Dave earned an M.A. in Apologetics from Southern Evangelical Seminary and a second M.A. in Philosophy from the University of Dallas.
Sterrett is focused on defending marriage, religious liberty and abolishing abortion in America. With a message of grace, truth and forgiveness, he is motivating churches and university campus groups to rescue babies from abortion, minister to post-abortive congregants and train students to defend life through reason and compassion. He is serving his fourth year on the national board of 40 Days for Life.
