WHAT’S THE MISSION AND VISION OF DISRUPTIVE TRUTH?
The mission of Disruptive Truth is to disrupt culture with the truth of the Gospel.
We seek to proclaim the credibility of Christ until the whole world hears. Through God’s love, we want to awaken and prepare this generation of believers to speak up about Jesus, defend righteousness and live boldly with Biblical convictions.
Disruptive Truth is intended to reach both the heart and intellect with the unchanging truths of the Bible and natural law. To fulfill our vision, we will seek to engage individuals at universities, churches and other settings with the truthfulness of Christ’s historical death and resurrection, and His call to comprehensive discipleship including prayer and fasting, a return to the Bible, personal evangelism, sexual purity, forgiveness, religious liberty, cross-cultural missions and the sanctity of all human life.
WHY? WHAT IS THE BIBLICAL AND PRACTICAL RATIONALE FOR DISRUPTIVE TRUTH?
1. Following the example of the early apostles, we want proclaim that the Gospel is actually true and reasonable, rather than merely preaching felt needs.
“I am not insane, most excellent Festus,” Paul replied. “What I am saying is true and reasonable.” (Acts 26:25)
2. Following the early Christian apostles, we want to destroy false arguments against the Gospel.
“We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ.” (2 Corinthians 10:5)
3. We want to follow the commands of Scripture to remove ignorance and rescue the innocent.
Rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering toward slaughter. If you say, ‘But we knew nothing about this, does not he who weighs the heart perceive it?’” (Proverbs 24:11-12)
Statement of Faith:
We believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried; the third day he rose from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from there he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of the saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. We believe the Old and New Testaments to be the infallible Word of God; inerrant as originally given, verbally inspired by God, the complete and sufficient revelation of His will for salvation and conduct. We believe in the Great Commission; to proclaim the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to the uttermost parts of the earth. Amen.
